Ingredients :
- 1 280g packet The Fish Farmer Mullet, thawed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Sambal balachan and half a large lime for serving (optional)
- Coriander for garnishing (optional)
Preparation :
- wash and pat dry the mullet fillets
- marinate each mullet fillet with half a teaspoon salt and one-quarter teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. Leave for 15 minutes
- heat up a non-stick pan and when smoking hot, put in the cooking oil and swirl it around the pan to coat it
- place the mullet fillets skin side down
- cook for 4 minutes or until the mullet fillets no longer stick to the pan. and the skiin is crispy Flip over and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes or till they do not stick to the pan and are nicely browned
- plate the mullets and garnish with coriander (if using)
- squeeze lime over sambal balachan (if using) and serve
